Studio & Hut

Henry Williamson's writing hut and  luxury 2 bedroom accommodation.

Nestled in an half an acre of woodland and gardens on top of Monterey Ridge North Devon sits a hidden literary treasure, the 1927 built writing hut of Henry Williamson, the naturalist writer famed for Tarka the Otter and other animal stories. The Hut remains as Henry built, decorated and used it. A writers retreat small and immersive where you can be alone in the peace of nature. Along with this delightful hut in the grounds is a unique converted 1950s studio, now with an open plan communal space and two private bedrooms. Opening in late 2017 both these properties will be available to rent together.
